Students can join QSI Münster at all times of the school year.  We realize that families relocate at any given time!

No!  We are happy to work with families to meet their relocation timeline.

QSI schools offer Intensive English support for elementary and middle school students based on their English language fluency levels, which are assessed during the admissions process.  For students ages 6 and older, we may give them a screening test for English before they begin school so we know how best to meet their language needs.  Preschool students enjoy an English-language environment where they are immersed in the language.

English language fluency is carefully considered for students entering our Secondary program.  Intensive English support can be offered for students in the Secondary I and II classes, but students and their families should be aware that success in the high school program requires a certain level of English fluency.  Students still gaining English fluency can and have earned their QSI high school diploma in their time at QSI Münster!

The Director will decide if it will help the school to have your child take the placement test.  There is no "failing" the placement test.  The placement test helps us get a first look at your child's abilities and English fluency so that we can begin to place them appropriately.  The placement test is just one way we will get to know your child! Children 5 and younger do not take a placement test. 

QSI Münster has been accredited since it's first year of operation by the Middle States Association of Schools and Colleges.  This is one of the major accrediting bodies in the U.S. for public and private schools, and many international schools use MSA as their main body of accreditation.  Student grade reporting includes details of courses and specific units studied so that a student's future schools can get a detailed understanding of their learning during their time with QSI.  Narrative reports are also issued 3 times a year. 

A high school diploma earned at QSI Münster is recognized in the U.S. and abroad.  Some German universities will recognize the diploma if a student is on an English-language or international track.  QSI offers a General Diploma and an Academic Diploma with or without honors depending on the courses completed in the Secondary program.  AP classes are available on an individual-needs basis either in-person or virtually through QSI's Quality Virtual School.

If your child has a previous IEP, 504 or other academic learning plan or educational psychological report from a previous school, QSI will be able to evaluate the previous plan and determine if our campus can provide suitable accommodations. In many situations, the school is able to provide adjustments within the classroom to support your child.

Quality Schools International has made considerable gains in the area of special needs with the development of a special needs policy. This policy is the foundation for our learning support framework created to serve students with mild to moderate learning challenges who may need accommodations to master the curriculum. With the support of Regional Learning Support Coordinators, QSI is able to develop and support appropriate academic and/or behavioral learning plans to meet the needs of each individual student. Students aged 3-7 years of age can attend QSI. Beyond the age of 7, German nationals and residents will need to acquire permission from their region's educational department to attend QSI. Depending on a family’s situation, older children can attend our school. For more information on this process, please contact the school. We are happy to explain the process.

While moving to a new school can be exciting, the change in a school campus can make a child nervous. Moving to a new country can make it even more challenging! QSI International School of Münster wants to make sure your child has the smoothest transition to our program. Depending on your child’s comfort level, the school can help facilitate a group call with a future class, arrange for a pen-pal, or place the future teacher in contact with the family.
