History

In 2014, QSI began the process of investigating the possibility of opening a school in Münster, Germany by request from the German Netherlands Corps (GNC).  It would add to the over 30 international school in as many countries operated within the Quality Schools International organization since 1971.  No other international school existed to serve families who would come to the city for a stay of 1 or more years, and who wanted their children to attend an English-speaking international school.

QSI International School of Münster opened in 2015 in order to provide an international school option for children ages 3-18 from the expatriate families from the partnering militaries of the GNC, representing several countries. Since then, it has also served expatriate and German families from various international businesses and employment in the city.

QSI Münster gained its accreditation by the Middle States Association of Schools and Colleges (MSA) in 2016 soon after opening.  This made it possible for students graduating from QSI Münster to hold a U.S.-accredited high school diploma that was recognized widely internationally.

Since 2016, the school's population has doubled and the school has served families from 15 countries that include the U.S., U.K., Norway, Spain, Japan, Croatia, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Brazil, Turkey, Yemen, Lithuania, South Korea and New Zealand.

In 2016, the first students graduated from QSI Münster, and each year since we have had graduating classes leave QSI Münster to attend universities around the world, with 19 total graduates to date. We remain the only international school option for families in Münster.

QSI Münster opened in 2015 under the direction of Mr. Matthew Farwell.
